Tackle It Tuesday ~ Master bedroom

Ok so I have been doing the Flylady, and so far love it. This weeks zone is the Master bedroom, which honestly I have been dreading!!! Its a mess. I am going to be an open mommy blogger here and give you a peek into my master bedroom. Hubby is supposed to be making me a new bed that is going to be awesome, im just waiting for him to get around to it. So excuse the mattress on the floor!

We do not need dressers because of the closet set up that we have but I am hoping that hubby will get me these nightstands to go with my new bed he will eventually build!

Wyatt Family Farm Update!

I know I've said it before, but where back. So much has happened, and we have been so busy!
     My HCG diet did not really work for me, allthough I was losing weight in record time it left me sick and dizzy feeling most of the time and Jamie (almost DH) did not like that I was on it at all. So I have decided that it is not the diet for me, which does sadden me, because it was really working. I would have been at my goal weigh in one 45 day cycle! So I am still eating healthy as often as possible, but I do not deny myself nips of what I love. I have also started eating on a smaller plate so that it still looks full, but my portions are a lot smaller. Weight loss should be slow and steady this way and hopfully keep me from feeling like I am going to pass out.
     Jamie and I have finally set a date (Oct 6, 2012) and I have been working on the plans for that as well. It's going to be so much fun, and all done myself. Jamie and I will totally be reflected in the celebration of our love. It's going to be a country wedding in our backyard, my colors are beautiful fall colors of pumpkim (burnt orange) and wasibi, with touches of browns and golds. One of my best friends Catherine is going to be my matrian of honor and my 2 oldest daughters bridesmaids with the youngest being the most adorable fashioista of a flower girl. I'll be blogging about the planning here of the wedding as well...
     My house has gotten away from me, and I have started flying with the flylady and already my house is in a much better state of affair than it has ever been and I still have more time that when I was cleaning all day everyday. With her schedule I spend a total of maybe 1-2 hours a day of housework. Everything is in its place and the hotspots are hardly ever hot anymore. i love it.
     Besides planning a wedding, being a girl scout leader for 2 troops, cooking, keeping my house, we got a new puppy a few days ago and she is just so sweet. Jake our older dog is trying to teach her to be a good dog, but she is finding the learning difficult. She is gonna be trouble I can feel it. We are also in the process of planning our garden for this spring, I am looking forward to it and I hope that  I will be able to get a whole lot more put up that last year. As last year was an experimnent, I am hoping that it gave me the experience that I needed to be able to put up enough things like, salsa, banna peppers, pickles, jams, etc... for the whole year for my family and some gifts as well. Any hints and tips are appreciated.

     

       My Tackle it Tuesday for this week is also a simple one, but one that has been on my to-do list for a few months now, and thats to blog again. I love blogging; it helps me keep my sanity and get things out that I need to. I hope that you all will start checking back again I miss chatting and interacting with my readers.

Tackle It Tuesday ~ Out of hand Office/Craft room

It's Monday night and I am watching Dancing with the Stars, thinking what needs to be Tackled; At that moment I realized that my Office/Craft Room is atrocious. I could not find anything in there if I tried. My craft table is covered in Girl Scout stuff and my desk is covered with God knows what! If I am to do all the things that I volunteer for I need my office/craft room to be neat and efficient. So that is what I am going to Tackle this Tackle it Tuesday!
I have plenty of storage space in this room and there is no reason to have things laying all over except for the fact that it is easier to just throw it on the table then deal with it, but if you really think about it Putting in the extra time to put it where it goes at the moment it comes into the house saves a lot of time and makes your work much easier. So not only am I going to clean and organize I am going to convenience myself that I need to put things away and file them the moment they make it into that room. So I need to make a plan for that as well.

My ongoing tackle is my yard. I have 8 acres most of which is field, but my backyard area has a beautiful hill and a fish pond and fountain in it. My hill is covered in Ivy, which I hate, so I am ripping it all out and looking for a pretty low growing plant that will hold the earth in place and look prettier than this Ivy attacking. As well as getting the fish pond cleaned out and running. This house was empty for a long time and the yard was not kept up very well, so I am slowly taking that on.
Any ideas on the plants for the hillside, its a pretty good slope and as equal sun and shade. I live in western Ky so it needs to stand up to cold winters and hot summers. It is irrigated.

Tackle it Tuesday ~ First day of classes

I start my classes online today for getting my Bachelor's in web design. I am very excited but a little nervous as well. Today I am going to tackle my first day of classes, and assignments. It's not housework, but it needs tackled. I do however have a plan of attack.
1) I read most of my required reading for this week already, however I so have a few to finish up today.
2) I have to post a short bio in my classroom and reply to a few of my classmates
3) Start work on my first assignment which will be due tomorrow. (wed.)
4) I am also going to start redoing my daily schedule to account for classwork.

Oh I also have my household notebook printable to work on... But more on that to come soon.

Good Bye SUMMER

As the daily highs get lower and lower, I find it is time to put most of the summer clothes away and pull out the sweaters. Especially for the early morning ride to school. There are still a few warm days, so I leave out 2 summer outfits just in case. It makes the change of seasons clothing switch out so much easier. We also bought our winter coats this last weekend, so that we are not taken by a surprise cold snap. I am on a roll!

Tackle it Tuesday ~ Clean out the car

Since we are living in between a camper and a hotel atm, while waiting on our house to get done our car is a mess. Whatever we can not find a spot for in the camper winds up in the car. Now although I am going to straighten out the mess in the car, I really dont have any other choice as to where to put all this stuff. So I am just going to try to organize it and get it out from under our feet. I'll take pictures if I can dig it out, but I think it is burried under the stuff in the car lol. I can not wait until this house is done!!!! I am at my witts end.

Tackle It Tuesday - Hair

Today My Tackle it Tuesday, is all about me. I have been camping for so long that I am in desperate need of repair. Lol My hair is so long that it knots just thinking about being taken out of the pony tail holder. Its just a mess. To brush it takes a tleast an hour and to blow dry it, og God don't even ask. It's time and I think I might go SHORT! We will see how I feel when I get to the shop in about an hour.

Ok so I went in to Stephanie's, it is owned by one of the moms of 2 girls on our cheer squad. I told her I wanted it short, sassy, and flattering... Do your thing!!
She proceeded to chop chop chop and more chop .... I could feel my head getting lighter and lighter, it was feeling wonderful and I could already feel the bounce in my hair... Some more chop, chop, chop..
